What is Foroglio Culture?
An animation project that is renewed every year and offers, over several months during the summer season, activities in various cultural fields: exhibitions of sculptures and installations, concerts, films, literary evenings, performances, debates, and presentations.
The Project
Foroglio, the best-known village in Val Bavona, set in a spectacular mountain dimension, an alpine living room on either side of the great waterfall that has always attracted people from all over.
With Foroglio Cultura we try to resist and prove that even in an alpine and peripheral context it is possible to offer a quality program. As we have done over the past 30 years.
The entire Foroglio area is an ideal setting for proposing cultural initiatives, which could expand to “windows” scattered in other significant places in Val Bavona or Valmaggia.

A spark of the present
Special places like Foroglio often lack a contemporary reading of the area. History, geography, ethnography are indispensable elements of knowledge, but they concern an essentially ‘fixed’, motionless space. Rather, art, whatever the materials and aesthetics of the works, is a spark, a way of relating modern man
to each other, his aspirations, his idea of beauty, reconnecting present and past in a new way.
Theater under the sky open
Foroglio village of Art is an open-air theater, a theater on the move, which is renewed from year to year and welcomes the creativity of people with different backgrounds, histories, and artistic approaches. While not affecting the naturalistic and man-made landscape, it wants to give a profound signal of movement, of dialogue.
