The heart of Foroglio village of Art is Arena Settembrini, a place where “the wind of the waterfall blows and the music of the alpine water resounds as it jumps into the river with stuntman moves.”

This large natural space in the vicinity of the public parking lot, which had been used for centuries for the needs of peasant civilization, was saved from the overgrowth that was swallowing it up and designated by Agenzia Kay as a place of culture.

The choice of name testifies to this transition: it is a reference to Lodovico Settembrini, a humanist, an emblematic and original literary figure, among the main characters in Thomas Mann’s The Magic Mountain. Dedicating the Arena to him is a way of being consistent with the international society that animates Foroglio in the summer season.
